John Howlett

John Lee Howlett, 72, Joplin, MO entered into rest October 18, 2020. John was born April 23, 1948 is Des Moines, IA to Marjorie (Smiley) and Bernard Howlett. 

He served in the US Army, receiving a Bronze Star, and retiring as Staff Sergeant. John was a member of the Neosho VFW Post 4142. 

He enjoyed trading and was known as a “Wheeler & Dealer”. John loved being with family and friends and providing services to veterans.

He and Alice Marie Gold were married January 31, 1970. Alice preceded him in death.

 

John is survived by his children: Melissa Howlett of Las Vegas, NV, Tamara Kinslow and husband, Chris of Joplin, MO, Johnnie Bunney and husband, Fred of Frontenac, KS, and Claudette Kruse and husband, Eric of Joplin, MO; three brothers, three sisters; sixteen grandchildren; and twenty great grandchildren. 

 In addition to his wife, John was preceded in death by his parents and one daughter, Kristina “Krissie” Geiger.
