(From Clark Funeral Home)Della Kathryn Fedie was born May 24, 1929 in Guyman, Oklahoma, one of six children to Frank and Cora (Mann) Delano. She entered into rest on October 15, 2020 in Carthage, Missouri, following a sudden illness at the age of 91.
Kathryn graduated from Neosho High School. She had lived away from the area, returning to the Granby area in 1980 from Erie, Kansas. She was a homemaker and an avid quilter. She attended church with her daughter, Cheryl at the First Baptist Church in Neosho and with her daughter, Karen at the Hope Baptist Church in Joplin.
Kathryn and LaVern Walter Fedie were married on June 8, 1948 in Garden City, Kansas and they shared 68 years together before his death on August 30, 2016.
She is survived by five children, Cheryl Ford of Neosho, Karen Gibson and husband, Jack of Neosho, Marla Anderson and husband, Art of Joplin, Richard Fedie and wife, Joetta of Florida, Susan Lesh and husband, Perry of Tennessee and Joyce Kramar of Kansas; one brother, Gene Delano of Joplin and a sister, Dorothy of Michigan; seventeen grandchildren, thirty three great grandchildren and two great great grandchildren.
In addition to her husband and parents, she is preceded in death by four sisters, Guila Wells, Frankie Lankford, Alvina Becker and Lavelle Betts.
