Bert Eugene Turner of Commerce, OK passed from this life Wednesday, December 15, 2021 at his home. He was 58.

Bert was born March 27, 1963 in Miami, OK to Leon Eugene and Velma (Madison) Turner. He had lived in the Commerce area all his life and graduated from Commerce High School class of 1981. Bert was employed at J&M Farms in Miami, OK, a member of the Miami Elks Lodge No. 1320 and member of Miami Tribe of Oklahoma.

Bert was preceded in death by his father.

Survivors include 1 son, Scottie Collier of Joplin, MO, 1 daughter, Genesis Lingle and husband William “Brandon” of Diamond, MO, his mother, Velma Turner of North Miami, OK, 1 brother, Dale Turner of Girard, KS, 2 sisters, Yvonne Jarnagin, Commerce, OK and Coweta Downs of Commerce, OK and 2 grandchildren Shiloh Lingle and Damyan Lingle.

Funeral services will be 10:00 a.m. Wednesday, December 22, 2021 at Paul Thomas Funeral Home Chapel in Miami, OK. Rev. Ray Clonts will officiate. Interment will be in Oak Hill Cemetery in Galena, Ks. Scottie Collier, Jim Burkeybile, Gary Downs, Sr., Andrew Turner, Dale Turner, Gary Downs, Jr., and Curtis Kitch will serve as pallbearers. The family will receive friends Tuesday evening from 6 to 8 p.m. at Paul Thomas Funeral Home Chapel in Miami, OK.
