(From Clark Funeral Home)Deanna Sue Kessinger, age 73, of Neosho, Missouri, passed away at 6:53 a.m. on Sunday, December 12, 2021, at her home. She was born September 21, 1948, in Joplin, Missouri, the daughter of the late Raymond Orvalee and Martha Dean (Yetter) Hutchings.
Deanna was a 1966 graduate of Neosho High School. She attended Southeast Missouri State University and later attended the University of Missouri, graduating in 1994 with a Political Science Degree. She worked as the Administrative Assistant for the Political Science Department at the University of Missouri-Kansas City.
Deanna returned to Neosho in 2019 to retire. She thoroughly loved reading and art, often displaying some of her favorite pieces in her home.
She is survived by her two children, James Allen Kessinger and Jade Alexander Kessinger and one brother, Robert Hutchings.
In addition to her parents, her brother David Hutchings also preceded her in death.
A graveside service under the direction of the Clark Funeral Home in Neosho will be held at 3:00 p.m. on Wednesday, December 15, 2021, at the Belfast Cemetery with Chaplin Jan Lightener officiating.
