(From Parker Mortuary)Carolyn Sue Long, age 83, Joplin, passed away on Saturday, November 12th, 2022 at Westgate at Wildwood Ranch.
Carolyn was born March 23rd, 1939 in Baxter Springs, Kansas. She married her first husband, Ivan Ray Crane and had 3 amazing children, Carol, Cheryl, and Darrell. She later married Billie P. Long.
She worked at 7th Street Walmart for well over 30 years before retiring at the age of 74.
She enjoyed get togethers with work friends, neighbors, and family. Her favorite hobbies were shopping, dining out at fancy restaurants, and getting her hair and nails done. Carolyn was not a baking/cooking type of grandma, but a take her grandchildren out to eat (Red Lobster) and shop at the mall. She had a great sense of humor and would surprise you with her occasional pranks. She loved her family above all else and especially her grand and great-grandchildren. Carolyn will be deeply missed by all who knew her.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her two sisters; Bernice Ransom and Shirley Talbot.

Carolyn is survived by her three children, Carol Crane Daily (Mike), of Carl Junction, MO, Cheryl Crane Walker, of Carl Junction, MO, and Darrell Crane (Rhonda), of Stark City, MO; one brother, Galen Marsh (Nancy), of Livermore, CA; one sister, Linda Dudley (Eli), of Baxter Springs, KS; five grandchildren; and eight great-grandchildren.
There will be a time of visitation on Tuesday, November 15th, 2022 from 5:00 – 7:00 p.m. in Parker Mortuary Chapel. Funeral service will be held on Wednesday, November 16th, 2022 at 11:00 a.m. in Parker Mortuary Chapel with Pastor John Boyd officiating. Interment will follow at Carl Junction Cemetery.
Funeral arrangements are under the special care of Parker Mortuary.
