Kenneth Jones

Kenneth J. Jones, 31, of Parsons, passed away the morning of Sunday, November 6, 2022, at Labette Health.

Kenneth Jarrell Jones was born on December 27, 1990, to Kenneth L. Jones and Yolanda Y. Cason in Lawton, Oklahoma. As a young boy, he grew up and attended school in Parsons, graduating from Parsons High School in 2009. Following high school, he attended Independence Community College. Over the years, Kenneth worked at several jobs in the Parsons area, including at Wal Mart, Sonic and Russell Stovers.

His greatest joy came from spending time with his children and his family. He also enjoyed playing and watching sports, especially the Parsons High School Vikings.

Survivors include:

One daughter – Kenzli Jo Jones of Chanute, Kansas

One son – Khyrie Lamont Jones of Altamont, Kansas

His parents – Kenneth L. Jones, Sr. and Annie M. Jones of Parsons, Kansas

Three sisters – Tiana Jones and her daughter, Lyric Smith; Zoe Jones and her daughter, Genesis Allen-Jones, all of Parsons, Kansas

Theresa Harris and her children, Elijah and Alaycia Harris of Pittsburg, Kansas

Four brothers – Jalen and Jessie Jones of Parsons, Kansas

Michael Travis and his daughter, Jasmyn Sanchez Travis of Webb City, Missouri

Jeffrey Webb of Joplin, Missouri

A host of extended family and friends

He was preceded in death by his biological mother, Yolanda Cason; his grandparents; and two brothers, Darryl A. Jones and Kenneth L. Jones, Jr.

The funeral service will be at 3:00 p.m., Friday, November 18, 2022, at the Forbes-Hoffman Funeral Home in Parsons. The family will receive friends from 1:00 p.m. until the service begins on Friday at the funeral home. Private family burial will take place at a later time.
