Nellene Seidel

(From Berna Funeral Home)

Nellene Seidel, a beloved mother, grandmother, and sister, passed away peacefully at the age of 74 on July 21, 2023, in Bentonville, Arkansas, surrounded by her loving family. Born on July 24, 1948, in Cincinnati, Ohio, Nellene brought warmth, laughter, and love into the lives of all who knew her.

Nellene's life was filled with cherished moments, and she leaves behind a legacy of love and kindness. She was a devoted wife to her late husband, Monte Seidel, and a caring mother to her late sons, Jason and Daniel Seidel, who preceded her in death. She was also preceded in death by her sister, Paulette Powers, leaving a void that was felt deeply by her family and friends.

Nellene's memory will forever be cherished by her surviving children: Kim Hanson and husband Jay of Rogers, Arkansas, Lori Waddell, and husband Quinten of Brentwood, Tennessee, Kyle Helmsderfer of Caledonia, Ohio, Monte Seidel and wife Pamela of Rogers, Arkansas, Joe Helmsderfer and wife Michelle of Newport News, Virginia, Tiffany Epps and husband Rick of Rogers, Arkansas, Cheri Willis of Germantown, Maryland, John Seidel and wife Marium of Seneca, Missouri, Tyler Seidel and wife Emily of Centerton, Arkansas, and Lindsey Langley and husband Travis of Bentonville, Arkansas. Her love extended to her forty-three grandchildren and 18 great-grandchildren, who will fondly remember the joy she brought into their lives.

Nellene had a zest for life that was evident in her many passions. As a stay-at-home mother, she dedicated herself to creating a loving and nurturing home for her family. Her sweet tooth was well-known, with dark chocolate and peanut butter being among her favorite indulgences. Laughter came naturally to Nellene, and her infectious sense of humor brought happiness to those around her, especially her unforgettable and rare fainting laugh spells.

Nellene also had a flair for fashion and enjoyed shopping, always appearing effortlessly put together and elegant. She had a keen eye for style and a genuine appreciation for beauty. However, it was her caring nature and love for her family and friends that defined her character.

In addition to her children and grandchildren, Nellene is survived by her sister, Cheri Willis and husband Dave, and brother, Charles Pickers and wife Jackie, as well as a host of extended family members and dear friends who were blessed to be a part of her life.

Family and friends are invited to pay their respects and join in remembrance of a remarkable woman who touched the lives of many on Friday, July 28, 2023, at Nelson-Berna Funeral Home of Rogers from 4:00-6:00 PM. A funeral service to honor Nellene's life will be held at The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints in Rogers on Saturday, July 29, 2023, at 10:00 AM. She will then be laid to rest next to her husband at Oak Grove Cemetery in Rogers.
