Wanda Sageser

Wanda Lee Sageser, 91, of Sarcoxie, Mo departed this life on Monday, May 4, 2015 at Sarcoxie Nursing Center.

Wanda entered this life on December 13, 1923 in Tamaha, Oklahoma to the union of the late Jonas B. and Minnie Lee (Barton) Dunn. In early 1940 she moved to the Sarcoxie, Missouri area. She was united in marriage to Roland Sageser; he preceded her in death in 1956. Wanda was the owner and operator of Wanda's Beauty Shop in Sarcoxie, Missouri and was styling hair well into her eighties. She enjoyed sewing, reading and crocheting. She loved spending time with her family and friends. She attended the Methodist Church in Sarcoxie, Missouri.

She is preceded in death by her parents; her husband; and two children; Donald Sageser and Nona Jones.

Wanda is survived by two sons; Tom Butcher and wife, Mary Ruth, of Pleasant Valley, Missouri, Jack Sageser and wife, Mary Jane, of Carthage, Missouri and one daughter; Johnnie Lee Creed of Blue Springs, Missouri, fourteen grandchildren, several great-grandchildren and great-great-grandchildren as well as a host of other family and friends.

Funeral services for Mrs. Sageser are 2:00 p.m. Saturday, May 9, 2015 in the chapel of Housh-Goodwin Funeral Home in Sarcoxie, Missouri with Noel George officiating. Burial to follow in Sarcoxie Cemetery. Visitation will be 12:00 p.m. prior to the service. Those honoring her life as pallbearers are Caleb Corum, Asher George, Elijah George, Tony Austin, Clinton Robinson, Dakota Robinson, Josh Butcher and Chris Riley. The family has directed memorial contributions be made to Sarcoxie Nursing Center and may be left with the funeral home.
