Norma R. Campbell, age 74 of Joplin, passed away on September 3, 2015, at Freeman Hospital, following an illness.
Norma was born on September 5, 1940 in Joplin, MO the daughter of the late Estelle and Juanita McClanahan. She married the love of her life, George W. Campbell on August 17, 1962. She was a beautician in her early years and worked as a housekeeper at the Holiday Inn and the Quality Inn. She then worked at Spring River Christian Village until she retired. She spent her last years taking care of and spoiling her great-grand kids. Norma attended Central Christian Center with her family.
She was preceded in death by her husband, George Campbell and a sister Carol Skelton. She is survived by her only daughter Tricia Fohey and husband Cliff, Joplin; two grandsons, Matt Fohey and wife Staci, Joplin, and Austin Fohey and fiancé Brandy, Neosho, Mo.; her great-grandchildren, Addison, Jaiden, Mason, Jordan, Keegan and Hazley; her sisters, Karen Eubanks and husband John, Patricia Smiley and husband Lawrence and Brother-In-Law JR Skelton; and several nieces and nephews. She will be dearly missed by her family and friends.
A Memorial service will be Wednesday, September 9, 2015 at 5:00 P.M. The family will receive friends at 4:00 P.M. prior to the service at Central Christian Center.
Memorial contributions may be given to “Saturday Night Live”, at Central Christian Center.
