Evelyn Marie Copeland, age 90, homemaker, of Joplin, Missouri, passed away May 27, 2015 at Freeman Hospital.
Evelyn was born November 20, 1924 to the late Albert French and Lucille Evelyn Holland French in Carthage, Missouri. Evelyn's faith was in Jesus Christ and was a member of Faith Assembly of God. She was a dedicated wife and mother, spending her time making a comfortable, happy home for her husband and sons. She loved flowers and spent many hours gardening. She made beautiful quilts with her mother that many family members are cherishing today.
She married Robert D. Copeland on June 15, 1942 in Joplin. He preceded her in death on February 23, 2015.
To this union were three sons, Bob Copeland and wife, Kathe of Joplin, Ron Copeland and wife, Pearl also of Joplin, Jim Copeland of Escondido, California; brother, Ralph French and wife, Pat of Clemont, Florida; six grandchildren, seven great-grandchildren and several special nieces and nephews. She will be greatly missed.
Services for Evelyn were held Saturday, May 30th at 10:00 A.M. at Parker Mortuary.
Arrangements are under the direction of Parker Mortuary, Joplin, Missouri.
