Jacquelyn Anne Leonardi, age 63, of Joplin, went to her heavenly home on Thursday, May 21, 2015 at Mercy Hospital after an extended illness.
Jacquelyn was born June 29, 1951, to the late Eloise Quiles Bachara in Chicago, Illinois. She moved to Joplin 25 years ago and worked for AT&T in customer service. She attended classes at Crowder College and was a member of St. Peter the Apostle Catholic Church.
Living life to its fullest, Jacquelyn had strong faith and loved to laugh. She was very family oriented and always put others before herself. She also loved the game of bingo. She traveled extensively, including trips to the Grand Canyon, Niagara Falls, Hawaii, the Smoky Mountains and Mount Rushmore. However, her favorite was the many trips she made to Disney World to see her favorite Disney character, Goofy.
She married Joseph Leonardi on November 14, 1969 in Chicago, he survives of the home.
Additional survivors include children, Michelle Nichols of Diamond, Joe (Eva) Leonardi, of Joplin, Faith (Nick) Kemper, of Joplin, Giovanni (Jane'a) Leonardi of Joplin; sisters, Neoma Santucci and husband, Nick of Chicago, Donna Barr also of Chicago, Cindy Bachara of Wausau, Wisconsin; brother, Ted Bachara and wife, Debbie of Colorado Springs, Colorado; brother-in-law, Greg Wise, of Lake Geneva, Wisconsin; grandchildren, Amanda, Joey, Tony, Chris, Aubriana, Vinnie, Destiny, Talyn, Alyssia, Jeremiah, Kylee, Kinley and Paulie; 1 great-grandchild, Mekia and numerous extended family and friends that will miss her dearly.
She was preceded in death by her sister, Michelle Wise.
A memorial service will be held Monday, June 1st at 11:00 A.M. at St. Peter the Apostle Catholic Church. Family will receive friends starting at 10:30 up to service time.
Cremation arrangements are under the direction of Parker Mortuary, Joplin, Missouri.
