Bernadine Boyer

Bernadine Boyer, age 94, Joplin, Missouri, passed away Monday, November 19, 2018 at National Health Care, Joplin.

She was born March 7, 1924 in Neosho, Missouri to the late Willard Bales and Ethel Duffield Bales.

Bernadine married John Eugene Boyer in Carthage, Missouri. He preceded her in death on November 25, 1976.

She worked several years for Sears and worked at South Middle School for many years. Membership was held in Calvary Baptist Church.

In addition to her parents and husband, she was preceded in death by one daughter, Linda Lou Boyer.

Survivors include two sons, Steve Boyer and wife, Kim, Joplin, John Boyer and wife, Sharon, Seneca, Missouri; three daughters, Kay Harpole and husband, Jack, Oronogo, Missouri, Barbara Campbell and husband, Edward, Pat Jaacks, all of Joplin; eight grandchildren; nine great grandchildren; and a sister, Marjorie Faucett, Neosho.

Graveside services are planned for 10:00 a.m. Saturday at the Oakwood Cemetery in Neosho. Rev. Jeff D. Martin will officiate. The family will receive friends Friday from 6:00 p.m.to 7:00 p.m. at the mortuary. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions are suggested to the Alzheimer’s Association and may be left in care of the mortuary.

Funeral arrangements are under the direction of Parker Mortuary.
