Opal Carol Griffin age 85 of Joplin passed away on Monday, November 26, 2018 at Mercy Hospital in Joplin.
She was born on October 28, 1933 in Redings Mill, Missouri to Albert C. Gunlock and Elsie (Drake) Gunlock. Carol was a housewife most of her life and was a member of the Oak Ridge Baptist Church.
She was married to Jean Griffin and he preceded her in death on October 10, 2018. Carol is survived by her sons, Douglas McCulley and wife Brenda of New Jersey, David McCulley of Webb City; a daughter, DeAnn Kolkmeyer and husband David of Joplin; a sister, Farol Newdiger and husband Don of Neosho; a brother, Richard Gunlock and wife Ione of Ash Grove, MO; 5 grandchildren and 2 great grandchildren.
Carol has been taken for cremation and the family will handle services at a later date.
