Lyle Coberley

Lyle Coberley entered this life on December 14, 1931, in Kiowa, Kansas, son of the late Harvey and Eulalia (Wright) Coberley. He moved with his family to Jane, Missouri in 1948 and was a 1949 graduate of White Rock High School.

 On May 24, 1956, in Pineville, Missouri, he was united in marriage to Patricia Kay Cooper and to this union three sons were born. Besides being a farmer throughout his life, Lyle also drove a school bus for the McDonald County School District for forty years. He was a former board member of the Jane Cemetery and the McDonald County School District. He enjoyed life on the farm, spending time with his family, and being actively involved with the Lord's church, especially attending area gospel meetings. He was a faithful member of the White Rock Church of Christ in Jane, Missouri.

He was preceded in death by his parents; his wife of thirty-one years, Patricia Kay Coberley on August 24, 1987; and two brothers, Donald and Jack Coberley.

Lyle is survived by his three sons, Dennis Coberley and wife, Tricia of Jane, Missouri, David Coberley and wife, Wanda, also of Jane, and Doug Coberley and wife Janette, of Rocky Comfort, Missouri; seven grandchildren; twelve great grandchildren; two brothers, Jim Coberley and wife, Ruby, of Joplin, and Tom (Dean) Coberley and wife, Linda, of Ida Bell, Oklahoma; a sister, Doris Schlessman and husband, Don, of Pineville, Missouri; his stepmother, Opal Coberley of Washburn, Missouri; several nieces and nephews as well as a host of other family and friends.

Funeral services are 11:00 a.m. Friday, November 16, 2018, at the White Rock Church of Christ in Jane, Missouri with Minister, Don Deffenbaugh officiating. Burial will follow in the Jane Cemetery. Those honoring his life by serving as pallbearers are grandsons, Thomas Coberley, Josh Coberley, Michael Coberley, and Andrew Coberley, and grandsons-in-law, Eric Gibson and Jeremiah Anderson. The family will receive friends on Thursday evening from 5-7:00 p.m. in the Anderson Chapel of the Ozark Funeral Homes.
