(From Housh-Goodwin Funeral Home)Margaret Anne (Kyser) Smith, 59, of Reeds, Missouri, passed away Thursday, November 25, 2021, in the comfort of her home.
Margaret was born on September 10, 1962 in Atmore, Alabama, to the union of the late Kenneth Charles and Lucille (Buckhault) Kyser.
On December 16, 1984 she was united in marriage to Douglas Smith, together they shared seventeen years until his passing on October 19, 2002.
For many years she was employed as a school nurse for the Sarcoxie School District. Margaret loved spending time with her children and friends. She enjoyed the beach, her cats, cooking, dancing and singing with her children, talking to her brother Charles every evening, Alabama football and had been involved with the Miracle League for several years. She will truly be missed by all those who knew and loved her.
She was preceded in death by her parents; and husband, Doug Smith.
Margaret is survived by her children, Nathan Smith and Kalyna Smith, both of the home; siblings, Charles Kyser and wife, Diane, of Atmore, Alabama and Kenneth Kyser and wife, Dana, of Birmingham, Alabama; two nieces and four nephews; and brother-in-law and sister-in-law, Mike and Cindy Myers, of Sarcoxie, Missouri; as well as a host of other family and friends.
Graveside services for Margaret are 2:00 p.m. Tuesday, December 7, 2021 at Dudman Cemetery, with Pastor James Yost officiating. Memorial contributions may be directed to Comeback Kids Scholarship Fund in care of the funeral home.
