Julia Pruiett

Julia Mae Pruiett, 81, a longtime Granby resident, entered into rest on June 18, 2023 at Mercy Hospital in Joplin. Julia was born on February 18, 1942, the daughter of Oscar and Ruth (Mayfield) Smith. 

She was employed at Schreiber Foods for many years until her retirement. 









In her spare time, she enjoyed spending time with her family, having a margarita every chance she got. She was considered a loving Mother, grand-mother, and an awesome aunt. She will be dearly missed by those who knew her. Julia and Freddie Pruiett, Sr. were united in marriage at California in 1969; he preceded her in death may 17, 2005.

She is survived by two children: Freddie Pruiett, Jr. and his wife, Carrie; a daughter, Laura Crnkovich, and her husband, David. Five grandchildren: Dylan Pruiett, Matthew Crnkovich, Coleman Pruiett, Bailey Pruiett, and Christopher Crnkovich. 








Additional survivors include a brother, Frank Smith, and his wife, Charlette; two sisters, Pearl Pollard and Eva Thomas; a niece, Peggy Hopper and husband, Jerry, and numerous more nieces and nephews. 

She is preceded in death by one brother and two sisters.

A funeral service will be held on Friday, June 23, 2023 at 10 A.M. at the Clark Funeral Home in Granby. A committal service will follow at the Pennsboro Cemetery in Greenfield, MO. Andrew Bryan will officiate. A visitation will be held on Thursday, June 22, 2023 from 5-7 at the funeral home. Serving as pallbearers will be Justin Moss, Greg Bryan, Neal Moss, Dylan Pruiett, Coleman Pruiett, and Jason Stuckey.
