Sue Bryant

Sue Bryant, age 76, of Joplin, passed away on Sunday, June 25, 2023, at the Medicalodges in Frontenac, Kansas.

Sue, daughter of the late Dee and Eva (Riddle) Yearwood, was born on December 25, 1946, in Webb City. She attended school and graduated from Webb City High School. She was employed with St. John’s Hospital for several years retiring in 2011 as the unit clerk for the CVICU. She was united in marriage to Billy Bryant, on February 19, 2005, in Carterville, he survives.








A true nurturer and caregiver, Sue, was a loving and forever devoted wife, mother, and sister. She enjoyed square dancing, cooking, and traveling to many states with her husband, Billy. Sue had many talents, including square dancing, crafting, and pottery, having previously owned her own ceramic store in Oronogo. She was a faithful member of The Sheep Shed in Neosho and devoted her life to Christ on July 26, 2015.

Survivors include her husband, Billy Bryant, of Joplin; one son, Milton Grissom, of Joplin; two brothers, Bill Yearwood, and Fred “Snuffy” Yearwood, both of Independence; three sisters, Coco Walker, of Jasper, Mickey Carrico, of Joplin, and Vickey Ebbs, of Enid, OK; and numerous nieces, nephews, and extended family members.






 

In addition to her parents, Sue was preceded in death by two sisters, Susie Jenkins, and Sharon Harris.

Funeral services will be held on Friday, June 30, 2023, at 10:00 AM at Parker Mortuary in Joplin with a private family burial to follow. The family will receive friends for a time of visitation on Thursday, June 29, 2023, beginning at 5:00 PM until 7:00 PM. Memorial contributions may be made to the organization of the donor’s choice in memory of Sue and may be entrusted to the mortuary.

Arrangements are under the personal care and direction of Parker Mortuary, Joplin.
