Rosilea Hodson

Mrs. Rosilea Hodson, 90, of Anderson, Missouri, departed this life on Wednesday, June 28, 2023, in the comfort of her home after a recent decline in health.

Rosilea entered this life on August 15, 1932, in Anderson, Missouri, one of four daughters born to the late Joe and Myrtle (Smith) Sarlls. She was a lifelong area resident and a devoted homemaker throughout her life. 

On May 1, 1951, she was united in marriage to Kenneth Hodson and to this union three daughters were born, Sheila, Terry and Lori. She enjoyed shopping, canning produce from their garden, keeping a clean home and helping her husband on the farm. Rosilea was of the Baptist faith.

She was preceded in death by her parents; and one sister, Alice Motley.

Rosilea is survived by her husband of nearly seventy-two years, Kenneth Hodson of the home; three daughters, Sheila Bowers and husband, David, of Anderson, Terry Mears and husband, Bret, of Wichita and Lori Jones and husband, Darney, of Neosho; a granddaughter, Kendra Mears of Wichita; a great granddaughter, Kara Luckey also of Wichita; sisters, Anna Wedan and Beverly Cook (Dennis) of Wichita; and several nieces and nephews; as well as a host of other family and friends.
