(From Fohn Funeral Home)Jon Edward “Jonny T” Taylor, age 35, of Firth, Nebraska passed away Wednesday, July 29, 2026.
He was born in Lincoln, Nebraska on March 13, 1991, the son of Jimmy Jon Taylor and Shawna (Sitzman) Svatos
Jon grew up in Firth, where he attended school and graduated from Norris High School. He had a natural talent for working with his hands and spent several years as an auto mechanic, doing what he loved most—bringing anything with a motor back to life. Whether he was riding motorcycles and four-wheelers, spending a day at the lake, water skiing, or boating, Jon was happiest outdoors and making memories with the people he loved.
More than anything, Jon cherished his family and friends. He had a way of making ordinary moments special, and the time spent laughing, talking, and simply being together meant the world to him. His love, adventurous spirit, and kind heart will forever live on in the memories of those fortunate enough to know him. Though he will be deeply missed, he leaves behind countless stories, smiles, and memories that will continue to bring comfort to those who loved him.
Surviving are his mother and stepfather, Shawna and Daniel Svatos of Firth, Nebraska; stepfather, Benjamin Widhalm of Golden, Missouri; brother, Austin Widhalm of Firth, Nebraska; son, Asher David Taylor of Lincoln, Nebraska and numerous uncles, aunts, cousins, and friends.
Preceding him in death were his grandfather and grandmother, Darrell and Darling Taylor; grandfather, Vern Eves and a very close cousin, Nicole Gembala.
A celebration of life will be held at 11:00 A.M. Saturday, August 22, 2026 at Lincoln Berean Church at 6400 S 70th Street in Lincoln, Nebraska 68516.
