Fernando Salas

Fernando Salas Rodriguez, 43, passed away on August 3, 2026, in Monett, Missouri. Born on May 30, 1983, in Durango, Mexico, Fernando was a cherished member of the Monett community where he lived most of his life. He graduated from Monett High School in 2001 and was deeply rooted in his local community and faith.

Fernando was a devoted employee at Pack Power, based out of North Dakota, where his role involved significant travel, yet he always prioritized his family and his commitments at home.






Fernando embraced life with an infectious smile and a joyful spirit. He had a passion for dancing, loved attending fiestas, and never missed an opportunity to enjoy music and celebrate with family and friends. He also enjoyed soccer, horses, roosters, peleas de gallos, and coleadero. His dedication to his family was paramount and evident in every aspect of his life. He was always willing to lend a helping hand to anyone in need and was known for his generous heart, kind nature and ability to make everyone feel welcome. His laughter, compassion and positive outlook touched countless lives.

He leaves behind his beloved wife, Llury Salas, and his four children: Fernando Dariel, Leo, Arley, and Esly Salas, all of Monett. He is also survived by his parents, Felipe and Maria Salas; his brothers, Nicolas, Antonio, Jose and Mario Salas; and his sister, Anahi Salas, along with numerous friends and extended family members who will miss him dearly.

A Mass of Christian Burial will be held in his honor at 1:00 p.m. on Friday, August 7, 2026, at St. Lawrence Catholic Church, Monett, with Father Rahab Isidor officiating. Interment will follow in the I.O.O.F. Cemetery, Monett, MO. The community will have a chance to pay their respects during visitation from 5-7:00 p.m. on Thursday evening at the church, where a Rosary will be held at 7:00 p.m. Arrangements have been entrusted to Buchanan Funeral Home, Monett, MO.
