(From Fossett-Mosher Funeral Home)Linda Jewell Pierson, age 84, of Stotts City, Missouri, passed away at 11:34 a.m. on Tuesday, August 18, 2026, at Mercy Hospital in Aurora, Missouri. She was born September 28, 1941, in Kansas City, Missouri, the daughter of Vernon and Irene (Marsee) Hill.
Linda was a 1959 graduate of Central High School in Springfield, Missouri and was a United States Navy veteran. Linda was an LPN and worked as a Respiratory Therapist at the Missouri Rehabilitation Center in Mt. Vernon, Missouri and served on their volunteer fire department. She enjoyed watching TV, listening to music, playing on the computer, riding horses, being outdoors, fishing and spending time with her grandchildren.
Linda is survived by her husband, Steve; one daughter, Michelle Compton and her husband, Rick, of Willard, Missouri; three sons, Michael White and Jody White and his wife, Lorna, all of Mt. Vernon, Missouri and Ben White and his wife, Trish, of Bentonville, Arkansas; one sister, Sandra Wheeler of Springfield, Missouri; brother-in-law, Bob Sweeny, of Springfield, Missouri; nephew, Andy Mullet of Monett, Missouri; four grandchildren and seven great-grandchildren.
Linda was preceded in death by her parents, Vernon, and Irene Hill; one son, Andrew Pierson and two sisters, Karen Sweeny, and Bonnie (Kenneth) Mullet.
A visitation will be held from 2:00-4:00 p.m. on Sunday, August 23, 2026, at Fossett-Mosher Funeral Home in Mt. Vernon, Missouri. A graveside service will be held at 11:00 a.m. on Monday, August 24, 2026, at Goss Cemetery.
