(From Clark Funeral Home)Katherine “Kay” Louise (Martin) Stipp, 79, of Granby, Missouri, passed away peacefully on August 14, 2026. She was born on January 24, 1947, in Stella, Missouri, to Joe Calvin Martin and Mary Albertha (Wilson) Martin.
Kay graduated from Granby High School in 1965. She married Dennis Earl Stipp on April 24, 1972, in Granby, Missouri. Dennis preceded her in death in 2023.
Kay took great pride in being a homemaker and devoted her life to caring for and loving her family. She was a wonderful cook, and her family will always remember the delicious meals she prepared, especially her baked beans and beef and noodles.
Family was at the heart of Kay’s life. She especially cherished the time she spent with her grandchildren and great-grandchildren, creating memories that will be treasured for generations. She held a particularly special place in her heart for Cullen, her “Pooter Butt.”
Kay also enjoyed the simple things in life, including having her nails done with her good friend, Cheryl. These times together were special to her and created memories she and Cheryl shared and treasured.
Kay had an especially close relationship with her daughter-in-law, Dawnette, whom she loved dearly and relied upon greatly. Their bond was a special part of Kay’s life, and the time they spent together will be deeply treasured by her family.

Kay was a member of First Church of God in Granby, Missouri. She will be remembered for her love of family, her caring heart, her dedication to her home, and the many ways she showed her love through the meals she prepared, the time she shared with those she loved, and the special relationships she built throughout her life.
Kay is survived by her son, Joey Stipp (Dawnette) of Granby, Missouri; six grandchildren, Lance Stipp (Bruno, his dog) of Missouri, Zachary Branham (Chantella) of Missouri, Megan Gregory (Michael) of Oklahoma, Eric Stipp (Kate) of New Hampshire, Rylee Stipp (Dallas) of Missouri, and Sam Cowan (Taelee) of Missouri; and 14 great-grandchildren with another due in January. She is also survived by her brother, Paul “Dink” Martin and wife Katharine of Diamond, Missouri; and her sister, Jeanie Flink and husband Norman of Neosho, Missouri.
She was preceded in death by her husband; her parents; her brothers, James Martin and George Martin; and her sisters, Jo Ann Lamp and Lois Gilstrap.
Kay leaves behind a lifetime of love and memories that will remain in the hearts of her family and all who knew her. Her greatest legacy will be the love she gave so freely to her family and the memories created around her kitchen table, during time spent with her grandchildren and great-grandchildren, and through the special friendships and family bonds she treasured.
She will be deeply missed and lovingly remembered.
A visitation will be held on Thursday, August 20, 2026, from 5:00 to 6:30 p.m. at Clark Funeral Home, Granby. A funeral service will follow on Friday, August 21, 2026, at 10:00 a.m., also at Clark Funeral Home, Granby. Burial will take place at Hazel Wood Cemetery immediately following the service.
