(From Mason-Woodard Mortuary)June Levona McDonald Schubert, age 85, of Sarcoxie, Missouri, passed away peacefully on August 1, 2026 surrounded by her family.
June was born on June 11, 1941 in Carthage, Missouri to her parents Leo and Nancy (West) McDonald. She graduated form Sarcoxie High School after marrying her high school sweetheart, Cliff Schubert, on March 28, 1959. Together they had two sons, Terrel and Kevin Schubert.
June was a member at the Church of God and she taught Sunday school each week. She worked at Safeway Cheese for many years and also worked for Dr. Larry VonHolten as an assistant. June enjoyed working on genealogy and always tried to keep her family tree updated for future generations.
She is survived by her husband, Cliff; two sons, Terrel Schubert and Kevin Schubert and his wife Connie; three grandchildren Aaron Schubert and wife Rochelle, Jerrod Schubert, and April Schubert; and four great grandchildren.
She is preceded in passing by her siblings, Connie Snyder, Olene Straw, Janice Mason and husband Steve, Terry McDonald; step siblings, Cindy Eads of Anderson, Jessica Trowbridge of Nixa, Bobby McDonald of Lamar, and Eddie McDonald of California.
June’s ashes will be laid to rest at a lat at Avilla Cemetery per her own wishes. The family will post the service information on their personal Facebook page at a later date.
