(From Brown-Winters Funeral Home)

DEC 1, 2025 -AUG 16, 2026

Our hearts are both broken and filled with an eternal, boundless love as we announce the passing of our beautiful eight-month-old daughter, Ollie Kate Shortt, who slipped peacefully into the arms of the Angels on August 16, 2026.Though her time with us was far too short, Ollie filled our lives with a lifetime of pure joy, bright light, and the sweetest, most precious memories.

Ollie Kate was a spark of absolute happiness who gave and brought endless smiles to her big brother, J. T., and big sister, Jolie. She was captivated by Bluey and loved blowing joyful raspberries, snuggling with her soft blankets and stuffed animals, playing with her ring toys, and, most of all, her giraffe binky.

Her beautiful brown eyes lit up in a special way whenever she saw her mommy, but this little lady was undoubtedly a daddy’s girl. Her sweet giggles had a magical way of brightening the entire room. In her beautiful eight months, Ollie taught us the true meaning of unconditional love and showed us how a tiny life can leave an immeasurable mark on the hearts of so many.

Ollie Kate is survived by her loving parents, Owen and Kayla Shortt, and her brother, J. T., and sister, Jolie, of Centerton, Arkansas.

She is also survived by her grandmother, Brenda Shortt, of Pryor, Oklahoma; her Aunt Dori Branham of Pryor, Oklahoma; her Uncle Casey Miller and Aunt Katie Miller of Nichols Hills, Oklahoma; and her 98-year-old great-grandmother, Elna Shortt, of Nixa, Missouri. She is also survived by her Great Uncle Clayton Barnes and Great Aunt Norma Barnes of Nixa, Missouri.

Ollie Kate is survived by her “Papa,” Steve Oldle, and her “Gram,” Anita Odle, of Kansas, Oklahoma; her Uncle Ryan and Aunt Kylee of Joplin, Missouri; and her Uncle Tucson and Aunt Kayce of Inola, Oklahoma; and her Uncle Seth Starr of Kansas, Oklahoma.

She is also survived by her great-grandfather, J. P. Odle, and great-grandmother, Betty Odle, of Kansas, Oklahoma; her Great Uncle Phil and Great Aunt Lorraine of Kansas, Oklahoma; and her Great Uncle Rodney Odle of Flint Ridge, Oklahoma.

She is survived by her Great Uncle Dave and Great Aunt Barbara Tucker of Rocky Ford, Oklahoma; her Great Aunt Gina Stanley of Tulsa, Oklahoma; and her Great Uncle Brent and Great Aunt Susan of Kansas, Oklahoma. She is also survived by a host of cousins, loved ones, and her church family.

Ollie Kate was preceded in death by her grandfather, Roy “Poncho” Shortt; her great-grandparents, Enoch and Annie Lamb; her Great Aunt Eva Barrett; her Great Uncles Charles “Choo” Thomas and Robert Duane Thomas; her Great Aunt Coleen Thomas; her Great Uncle Dennis Lamb; and her Aunt JoLynn Odle.

Ollie Kate’s life was a brief but beautiful gift from God—one that has forever changed our family. Although we wish we could have had more time with her, we are eternally grateful for every moment, every smile, every giggle, every cuddle, and every precious memory she gave us.

We find comfort in knowing that her gentle spirit and beautiful light will live on forever in the hearts of everyone who loved her. J. T. and Jolie will always carry their baby sister in their hearts, and we will miss our precious Ollie every single day until the day we can hold her in our arms again.

Forever loved. Forever missed. Forever our beautiful Ollie Kate.
