(From Washburn-McReavy Funeral Home)Ardith J Lund, age 97, of Bellevue WA and formerly of Bloomington, MN, Carthage, MO and Austin MN peacefully passed away at her home on June 13, 2026.
She is preceded in death by her loving husband James H Lund, parents, 3 brothers and 2 sisters. (Warren Johnson, twin sister Ardis Pederson, Wanda Krause, Howell Johnson and Leighton Johnson). Ardith is survived by her three children - Janet (Michael Holt), James (Elizabeth) and John (Cher), grandchildren Sarah (Tyler Risom), Erik, Margit and Alison, and great granddaughter Solvi Lund-Risom.
Ardith was born and raised in Clarkfield MN to Guy and Lily Johnson. She married the love of her life and high school sweetheart James Lund in 1949 and spent the next 59 years adventuring together until his passing in 2009. People were drawn to her warm and generous heart and she made many friends everywhere she went. She had a deep abiding love of family and was a lifelong woman of faith. She will be greatly missed by many.
There will be a memorial service Thursday, August 27 at 10AM at Normandale Hyland's UMC, 9920 Normandale Blvd, Bloomington. Service will also be live streamed on the church website Visitation is one hour prior to service at the church. She will be interred beside her husband at Fort Snelling Cemetery.
