Charlotte Stout

Charlotte Sue Stout (Taylor), 80, of Anderson, Missouri, passed away peacefully at her home, surrounded by her family, on Thursday, July 30, 2026.

Charlotte was born on November 26, 1945, in Topeka, Kansas, to Harold Taylor and Hazel Frost. She attended Topeka High School and, as a young adult, dedicated ten years to working at the Hallmark factory in Topeka—a job she truly loved. While residing in Anderson she managed the Shop and Go for many years and met so many different people. Charlotte was known for her strong work ethic throughout her life. Whether she was working at Hallmark, the cement plant in Fredonia, Kansas, or serving as a caregiver to those she cherished, she gave her all in everything she did.

On December 18, 1963, Charlotte married Robert "Gene" White, and together they welcomed three beautiful daughters: Jodie, Tracie, and Kellie. Her greatest joy and proudest accomplishment was being their mother. She never missed an opportunity to let others know that her daughters, grandchildren, and great-grandchildren were the center of her world. They were her greatest blessing, her motivation, and the reason behind everything she did.

Charlotte worked for many years until her health no longer allowed her to continue. Anderson, Missouri, became her home in 1985, where she remained until her passing. She found happiness in spending time with her family, painting, reading, collecting pig figurines, gardening, and watching the hummingbirds she faithfully fed. Above all, Charlotte's unwavering faith in God guided her throughout her life.

Charlotte was preceded in death by her parents, Raymond Taylor and Hazel Frost; five siblings, Jim, Donna, Francis, Bob, and Frank; her grandson, Jared Nalley; and her great-granddaughter, Braelynn McCall.

She is survived by her three daughters: Jodie White of Anderson, Missouri; Tracie Washam of Anderson, Missouri; and Kellie Nelson of Anderson, Missouri. She also leaves behind nine grandchildren, sixteen great-grandchildren, one great-great-grandson, and countless nieces, nephews, extended family members, and dear friends who will forever cherish her memory.

Though we mourn the loss of a remarkable and kind woman, we find comfort in knowing she has been reunited with the loved ones who went before her. Charlotte's legacy of love, faith, hard work, and unwavering devotion to her family will continue to inspire all who knew her. May we honor her memory by carrying forward the compassion, strength, and love she shared so freely, keeping her spirit alive in our hearts and in the lives of those she loved.
