(From Fohn Funeral Home)Forrest Arthur “Frosty” Garland, age 85, of Cassville, Missouri passed away Monday, August 17, 2026 at Cox Medical Center South in Springfield, Missouri.
He was born January 25, 1941 in Viola, Missouri, the son of Joseph and Bernice (Willyard) Garland. On June 24, 1995 in Jenkins, Missouri he was united in marriage to Marty Hall, who survives. Also surviving are his son, Joe Garland and wife Melissa of Cassville, Missouri; daughter, Diana Soole and husband James of Exeter, Missouri; brothers, Sanford Garland and wife Arlene and Cliff Garland; sisters, Mary Ann Reger and Olive Houston and six grandchildren.
Frosty lived his entire life in Barry County, Missouri, attending school in Cassville and graduating from Cassville High School. He owned and operated Frosty’s Garage for many years while also raising cattle and crop farming. Frosty enjoyed playing music and singing, hunting, guns, and spending time outdoors. He was a member of Victory Baptist Church. Frosty will be deeply missed by all who knew and loved him.
Graveside services will be held at 10:00 A.M. Saturday, August 22, 2026, at Oak Ridge Cemetery in Cassville, Missouri and a memorial service will be held at 1:00 P.M. Saturday, August 22, 2026 at Victory Baptist Church in Cassville, both are under direction of Fohn Funeral Home in Cassville. Pastor Russell Bishop, Pastor Wyatt Clevenger, and Pastor Trent Huse will conduct the services.
The family will receive friends from 5:00 until 7:00 P.M. Friday at Fohn Funeral Home in Cassville.
Contributions may be made to Oak Ridge Cemetery in memory of Frosty.
