(From Fohn Funeral Home) Donna Ferne Irving, age 80, of Butterfield, Missouri passed away Saturday, August 8, 2026 at Circle of Life Hospice in Bentonville, Arkansas.
She was born in Unionville, Missouri, the daughter of Charles and Shirley (Ingersoll) Springer. On March 22, 1962 in Grimes, Iowa she was united in marriage to Ernest Irving, who survives. Also surviving are her son, Michael Irving of Cassville, Missouri; daughters, Barbara Stewart and husband Floyd of Cassville, Missouri and Tammy Horn of Purdy, Missouri; brothers, Charles Springer and wife Julie of Illinois and Brian Springer of Malvern, Iowa; sisters, Sandy Gannon of Dallas Center, Iowa, Linda Black of Chariton, Iowa, Jackie Collins and husband Doug of Missouri Valley, Iowa, and Patty Craft and husband Tony of Logan, Iowa; nine grandchildren and five great grandchildren.
Preceding her in death were her parents and sister, Vickie Drews.
Donna attended school in Grimes, Iowa, and later devoted her life to caring for her family as a homemaker. In 1975, Donna and her husband, Ernest, moved to Butterfield, Missouri, from Fremont, Nebraska.
Donna had a deep appreciation for nature and enjoyed reading her Bible. She also loved baking and cooking, especially during Thanksgiving and Christmas. Above all, Donna loved her family unconditionally, they meant everything to her.
Private services will be held at a later date. Cremation arrangements are under direction of Fohn Funeral Home in Cassville.
