Alan Walker

Alan Walker, 71, of Jay, Oklahoma, passed away on Monday, August 3, 2026, at Circle of Life Hospice in Bentonville, Arkansas.

He was born on September 19, 1954, in Tulsa, Oklahoma, the eldest of two sons born to Ralph and Elizabeth (Wilson) Walker. During his grade school years, he moved with his family to Northwest Arkansas. He graduated from Rogers High School in 1972, and later that year on September 22, he was united in marriage to Patty Howard. Together they shared nearly fifty-four years of marriage and were blessed with three sons, Patrick, Jonathan and Shane.

Alan was a man who believed deeply in the value of honest labor and perseverance. During the recession in the early 1980s, he moved to Oklahoma to work in the oil fields, doing what was necessary to provide for his family. After returning to Northwest Arkansas, he worked as a paint subcontractor and continued to build a reputation for dependability and skill. In 1991, he began building homes, a profession that reflected both his practical abilities and his commitment to creating something lasting. He later partnered with his father, Ralph, and his brother, Carl, to form ARC Construction and Development, Inc., and in 2000 he founded ARC Leasing Company.

In 1974, he began dirt track racing sprint cars and late models alongside his father and brother, sharing in the excitement of the sport for many years. In 2000, he stepped away from racing and purchased a ranch near Jay, Oklahoma, where he devoted himself to cattle farming. He later built the family home on the ranch in 2007, creating a place that reflected his love of land, family, and hard work. Over the years, he also restored several cars. His faith was an important part of his life, and he was a member of Southwest City Full Gospel Church.

He is survived by his wife, Patty Walker, of the home; three sons, Patrick Walker, Jonathan Walker and his wife, Kelly, and Shane Walker, all of Jay, Oklahoma; two grandchildren, Kaylee and Owen Walker; his mother, Elizabeth Walker of Rogers, Arkansas; a sister, Linda Necessary of Texas; as well as a host of other family members and friends. He was preceded in death by his father, Ralph Walker and his brother, Carl Walker.

Funeral services are 11:00 a.m. Monday, August 10, 2026 at the Full Gospel Church in Southwest City, Missouri with Pastors JR Morgan and Charles Wilson officiating. The family will receive friends beginning at 10:00 a.m. on Monday at the church. In lieu of flowers, memorials are being directed to the Southwest City Full Gospel Church or Circle of Life Hospice c/o the funeral home. Arrangements are under the care of Ozark Funeral Home in Anderson, Missouri.
