(From McQueen Funeral Home)Steven R. “Russ” Thomas, age 75, of Exeter, Missouri passed away, Friday, August 21, 2026 at Cassville Health Care Center in Cassville, Missouri.
He was born January 16, 1951 in Wheaton, Missouri, the son of Earl Eston and Velma (Ridenour) Thomas, who preceded him in death. Also preceding him in death were his brother, Jarett Thomas and a niece, Noveta Thomas.
Surviving are his sister, Earlene Dunn of Monett, Missouri; sister-in-law, Barbara Thomas of Purdy, Missouri; nephews, Johnny Thomas and wife Becky of Crane, Missouri and Jerry Thomas and wife Rhonda of Purdy, Missouri and niece, Donna Ridenour of Monett, Missouri.
Russ lived his entire life in the Wheaton and Ridgley, Missouri, areas and attended school in Wheaton. He enjoyed fishing, hunting, and spending time outdoors in nature. Russ will be deeply missed by all who knew and loved him.
Private services will be held at a later date. Cremation arrangements are under direction of McQueen Funeral Home in Wheaton.
