Bobby Knight

Bobby Ray Knight, 53, born October 16, 1972 in Yakima, Washington to James and Mary Ellen (Dick) Knight. Passed away unexpectedly on Aug 6, 2026 at his home in Jay, OK. Bobby entered his heavenly home. Bobby did not graduate, but he did get his GED in 2001. He thought that was very important.

Bobby married Leane Butler on Sept. 22, 1999. They moved to Mansfield, OH. They welcomed four amazing kids to the family. Kayla, Collin, Kyle, and Camden. They were married for 20 years before divorcing. While in Ohio, Bobby worked at Crane Plumbing in Mansfield, Ohio from1998 until they closed in 2003. He worked at Mansfield Plumbing in Perrysville until he suffered an injury in 2007.








Bobby was Baptized on April 22, 2007 by the late Jeff Brunsman, former pastor of Pleasant Grove Church. Jeff and his wife Michelle were very instrumental in his life. Bobby moved back to Jay, OK in 2018. He loved his kids and family more than life itself. Bobby never met a stranger.

Bobby is preceded in death by his fathers James Knight and Bob Knight; Brother-in-law, Rick Delaune; paternal grandparents; maternal grandparents, several aunts and uncles; and his nephew Eric Garcia.








Bobby is survived by his mother Mary Ellen Knight of Grove, OK; Sisters Sandra Delaune of Moss Point, MS, Melissa Kirby and husband Robin of Jay, OK, Kathy Lamphear of Salina, OK, JoAnn Knight of Jay, OK, Cindy Crosswhite and husband Robert of Columbia Falls, MT, Donna Shockley of Barberville, WV, Robin Wilson of Huntington, WV, Annette King of Disney, OK, Regina Thompson of Flathead, MT, and Tiffany Knight of Yakima, WA; Brothers Billy Jack Knight and wife Mandy of Jay, OK, Greg Knight and wife Janet of Everton, MO, Nickolas Moskaloff of Kalispell, MT, and bonus brothers Randy Knight and wife Tracy of Grove, OK, Danny Knight and wife Paula of Bernice, OK; his children Kayla, Collin, Kyle, and Camden of Mt. Gilead, OH; numerous cousins, aunts, uncles, and beloved friends.

Bobby’s family will have a Celebration of Life Memorial Service at a later date.

Arrangements are entrusted to Lawson’s Funeral Homes & Cremation Services, 311 W. Gray St., Jay, OK 74346 with Shaunda J. Lawson, 3rd Generation Owner/Funeral Director and Staff.
