Doris Faye Lyle, age 77, Joplin, passed away at 3:50 p.m. Wednesday, July 30, 2014 at Freeman West Hospital.
Doris was born December 24, 1936 in Belleville, Missouri to the late Vaughn Miller and Vera McCorkle Miller and had lived in the area all of her life.
She worked as a seamstress at the former Miller Manufacturing and National Mills Companies.
Doris was preceded in death by her husband, Robert Lyle, Sr.; a son, Robert Lyle, Jr.; one sister; a son-in-law, Bruce Simonds; and two grandchildren, Eric and Blake.
Survivors include two daughters, Kim Winters and her husband, James, Joplin, Tammy Simonds, Joplin; a daughter-in-law, Marilee Lyle, Joplin; ten grandchildren and 15 great grandchildren; three sisters and one brother.
Graveside services are planned for Monday at 1:00 p.m. at Ozark Memorial Park Cemetery. Rev. Bob Simon will officiate. The grandsons will serve as pallbearers.
