Margaret Woods

Margaret E. Woods, age 66, of Webb City, Mo. passed away at 8:25 p.m. Tuesday, August 26, 2014 at the home of her daughter following a nine month illness. Margaret was born October 24, 1947 in Joplin, Mo., the daughter of Ray and Mary Webb. She lived in Webb City most of her life. Margaret was employed as a dispatcher for Rouse Heating & Air in Joplin for 15 years. She was a member of the Forest Park Baptist Church in Joplin.

Margaret married DeWayne Woods on October 17, 1976 and he preceded her in death on May 7, 2004. Survivors include a daughter, Teresa Rogers and husband Lance, Joplin, four step sons, David Woods, Joplin, Darren Woods, Miami, Ok., Dustin Woods, Branson, Mo., and Dirk Woods and wife Renee, Miami, Ok., one sister, Judy Hayes, Webb City, two brothers, Henry Webb and Allan Webb, both of Webb City, two granddaughters, Heather Lewis and Monica Edwards, six step grandchildren, and six great grandchildren.

Services will be at 2:00 p.m. Friday at the Hedge-Lewis Chapel in Webb City with Rev. John Swadley officiating. Burial will follow in the Ozark Memorial Park Cemetery. Visitation will be from 6-7 p.m. Thursday at the Chapel. Memorial contributions are requested to the Forest Park Baptist Church Building Fund in care of the Funeral Home. Arrangements have been entrusted to the Hedge-Lewis Funeral Home of Webb City, Mo.
