Nureda Fast

Nureda Fast, 86 of Lamar, MO passed away Sunday, August 10, 2014 at Freeman Hospital in Joplin, MO.

 Nureda was born, November 3, 1927 to John and Lula “Clemmons” Minor in Liberal, MO. Nureda was a Nurse’s Assistant at Barton County Hospital for many years and also worked for the Frisco Railroad as a telegrapher. She was an active member of the First Baptist Church of Liberal, MO where she taught Sunday school. Nureda was also a proud American patriot. 

Those who proceeded her in death are her children, William (Bill Mike), Louis, and Bonna Rae; her brother Price Minor and a sister, Yllene Riley. She is survived by her son, Mickey and his wife, Lynnette Fast of Liberal, MO, daughter in law, Connie Fast of Saucier, MS, along with 11 grandchildren, 16 great-grandchildren, and 3 great-great grandchildren.

Graveside services will be held at Barton City, Cemetery on Saturday, August 16, 2014, 10 AM, with C.K. Warden officiating with John Scott and Pat Bean singing selections of music selected by Nureda.
