Timothy J. Green, age 67 of Joplin, MO passed away Wednesday August 27, 2014 at the Spring River Christian Village in Joplin, Mo.
He was born on February 5, 1947 in Toledo, OH the son of Jeanne Byrne Willhelm. He was a 1965 graduate of Devilbiss High School in Toledo, and then graduated from Toledo University in 1966. He worked for Leo Jarnagin GMC as a finance manager until he and his wife opened The Real Estate Book of Joplin from 1992 to 1999. He loved working and being around people loved working on computers and loved fishing.
He is preceded in death by his mother Jeanne Willhelm and a brother Paul Willhelm. Survivors include his wife of 23 years Janeth Birkenkamp Green, four daughters: Theresa Moore and Mark of Connelly Springs, NC, Tammy Zapata and Juan, of Hildebrand, NC, Vanessa Birkenkamp of Texas and Amanda Coffman and Scotty of Arkansas; two sisters: Sue Jefferds and Bob and Darlene Willhelm and Rob; seven grandchildren and 1 great grandchild.
Funeral Services will be held at 1:00 PM Tuesday September 2, 2014 at the Mason-Woodard Mortuary with Chaplin Justin officiating. Burial will follow in the Mt Hope Cemetery in Webb City, MO. The family will receive friends from 2 to 4 pm Monday at the Mortuary. The family suggests contributions the Freeman Cancer Institute in care of the mortuary.
