Roscoe E. (Speck) Henry, Jr., age 93 of Joplin, passed away at Sarcoxie Nursing Center on Thursday, December 31, 2015.
Born July 9, 1922 in Sarcoxie, MO, he was a U.S. Army Veteran of World War II, serving in the Aleutian Islands. A salesman all of his working life, he worked for several companies including Pittsburg Radio Supply.
On December 31, 1948 he married Betty J. Lofton in Joplin. She preceded him in death on July 27, 2013. A son, Greg T. Henry, also preceded him.
Survivors include one son, Brent A. Henry of Joplin; five grandchildren, Justin, Sarah, Kenny, Brittany and Summer; and several great-grandchildren.
Cremation arrangements are under the direction of Parker Mortuary. The family will receive friends from 5:30 to 6:30 p.m. Monday at the mortuary.
