Harold Boehne

(From Lockwood Funeral Chapel)

Harold Ray Boehne, 83, of Lockwood, MO, on the night of October 10, 2016, was called home by his Lord.

Harold Ray, as he was known by most, lived and farmed his lifetime in the Golden City-Lockwood area. He and his wife, Helen, of 55 years raised four children, Bobby and his wife Kay of Springdale, AR, Sharon Cameron of Lockwood, MO, Donna Evans of Springfield, MO, and Michael of Lockwood. From these children, the family grew to ten grandkids and fourteen great-grandkids.

Harold and Helen moved into Lockwood from the farm in their later years. Harold kept busy mowing his lawn and keeping his garden tilled. He was the happiest when he was on his mower or tractor. Harold also enjoyed his daily trek to “The Pump” in “Ole Blue” for coffee and to catch up on the latest news. He would help anyone at any time. Harold loved his family and had a great sense of humor. We will all miss his wonderful laugh!

Harold Ray was born February 17, 1933 to Ted and Viola (Kaelke), who preceded him in death, as well as his wife, Helen (Iles) Boehne, and an infant daughter, Susan.

“Dad, it has been a privilege and an honor to be with you these past nine years. We’ve cried some tears and had some great laughs. But, most of all, I’ve made some wonderful memories. Thanks Dad, for being my Dad! I’ll love and miss you, always and forever!” “Sis”

Funeral services will be held at 11:00 a.m. on Monday, October 17, 2016 in Immanuel Lutheran Church. Burial will follow in Lockwood Cemetery. The family will receive friends on Monday at 10:00 a.m. until service time in the church. Memorial contributions may be made to the Immanuel Lutheran Daycare, the Good Shepherd Community Care and Rehabilitation Facility, or to a veteran's organization of the donor's choice.
