William Thomas "Tom" Jones, age 64, Joplin, passed away on Friday, October 21, 2016 at his home.
Tom was born April 28, 1952 in Carthage, Missouri, son of Beverly K. Wilson Jones of Joplin, formerly of Hannibal, Missouri, and the late William D. Henderson. Tom was loved and raised by his mother, and adopted father, Lloyd M. Jones, who also preceded him in death. He attended school in Joplin, he had a love and gift for music, and was a very talented artist, prior to being critically injured in an automobile accident in July of 1969. Through the years Tom has been a great survivor of life, and always maintained his ability to show love to all around him.
He is survived by his mother, Beverly K. Jones of Joplin; and several cousins in Hannibal.
Graveside services will be Tuesday, October 25, 2016 at 2:00 p.m. in Ozark Memorial Park Cemetery with Chaplain David Schepper officiating.
Funeral arrangements are under the direction of Parker Mortuary.
