Stephen Lee Sell, age 57, Joplin, passed away on Saturday, October 15, 2016 at Freeman West after a sudden illness.
Steve was born December 22, 1958, son of Gerald and Mescal Sell. He worked in construction all his life as a carpenter, working for over 40 years with ZAK Construction and Repairs to Go, Inc.. He loved the outdoors, and enjoyed hunting and fishing, and especially rooting for the Kansas City Chiefs. He was also a veteran of the United States Army.
Survivors include his wife, Aleda Cable Sell whom he married July 19, 1991; children, Mark Williams of Austin, Texas, Meghan Wiles of Jasper, Missouri, Stevie Sell of Springfield, Missouri, and Nicholas Sell of Joplin; parents, Gerald and Mescal Sell of Booneville, Missouri; siblings, Vaughn and Carolyn Sell of Columbia, Missouri, Donna Sell of Redondo Beach, California, Susie Roberts and Tony of Columbia, Missouri; Jeri McNair.
Memorial service will be at a later date with family and friends officiating.
Cremation arrangements are under the direction of Parker Mortuary.
