Lola Morgan, 85 years, of Goodman, Missouri passed away on Saturday, September 30, 2017 at Medicalodge in Neosho, Missouri.
Lola was born in Jane, Missouri on February 7, 1932, one of eleven children born to the late M.J. and Mary (Allman) Nichols. She attended the White Rock Elementary and Rocky Comfort High School. Lola was a graduate of the Crowder College Nursing Program in 1979. She married Junior Morgan on March 26, 1949 in Bentonville, Arkansas. He passed away on November 9, 1975. Lola worked at the former St. John's Hospital in Joplin and retired from there in 1994. She then worked at Beverly Health Nursing and Rehab from 2001 to 2004; Oxford Health Care in Joplin from 2005 to 2008. Then retired for good at the age of 76 years and nine months. Lola enjoyed her years of nursing, but especially enjoyed retirement, with some traveling, but mostly staying around the home in her yard and garden with her three dogs and three cats. She preferred her home life and pets versus people.
Lola is survived by her three sons, Jim Morgan and wife, Sharon of Goodman, Missouri, Jerry Morgan and wife, Donna of Joplin, Missouri, Mike Morgan and wife, Gayle of Goodman, Missouri; 10 grandchildren, 21 great grandchildren; one great great grandchild; two sisters and a brother; along with a host of other relatives and friends that will dearly miss Lola.
Memorial service for Lola will be held at 10:00 am on Saturday, October 7, 2017 at the Goodman Chapel of the Ozark Funeral Home.
