Dave Oehring

Charles David ‘Dave’ Oehring was born November 22, 1928 in Neosho, Missouri, the son of Troy H. and Mable M. (McMahan) Oehring. He entered into rest on April 24, 2021 at the age of 92. 

Dave was a lifelong area resident and U.S. Navy veteran, serving in WW II. He was a self-employed contractor and a talented homebuilder and was featured in a national magazine for his work. 









In addition to residential construction, he worked and oversaw the expansion of Freeman-Neosho Hospital. He was a perfectionist and very detailed in his occupation. Dave loved to take his grandkids on rides on his moped; was an avid Cardinals Fan and enjoyed quail hunting and fishing. He was an avid gun and coin enthusiast. 

Dave and Marjorie Mae (Hunt) were united in marriage on June 25, 1948 and she preceded him in death on April 28, 2012. 

He is survived by a daughter, Eraina Cashel and husband, Mike of Neosho; two grandchildren, Matthew B. Cashel and Chelsey Ann Cashel and one sister, Mary M. Turpen. 

Friends may call at the Clark Funeral Home on Thursday to pay respects and sign the book. A private interment will be held.
