(From Crafton-Cantrell Funeral Home)Ernie J.R. Quillin, age 72, of Aurora, Missouri, passed away at 4:02 a.m. on Wednesday, April 21, 2021, at the home of his niece. He was born January 9, 1949, in Fresno, California, the son of Eugene and Dorothy (Platt) Quillin.
Ernie was a peer counselor and an agriculture farmer with E&E Farms. He was baptized at the New Dawn United Pentecostal Church in Aurora.
Ernie married Gail Hicks in Reno, Nevada and she preceded him in death on February 16, 2012.
Ernie is survived by his two daughters, Laura Quillin and Shawna Mallow, both of Fresno, California; two sons, Sonny James Fife of Bakersfield, California, and Kenny Mallow of Fresno; several grandchildren; three sisters, Lizzie Carson-Vick and her husband, Steve, of Lockwood, Missouri, Betty Johnston and her husband, Ed, of Marionville, Missouri and Beverly Williams and her husband, Ray, of Springfield, Missouri and several nieces and nephews.
Ernie was preceded in death by his parents, Eugene and Dorothy, his wife, Gail, one granddaughter, and three sisters, Dorothy Jean Quillin, Gayle Lane and Viola Beaudean.
A graveside service, under the direction of the Crafton-Cantrell Funeral Home, in Aurora, will be held at 11:00 a.m. on Friday, April 23, 2021, at the Marionville IOOF Cemetery in Marionville, Missouri.
