(From Hedge-Lewis-Goodwin Funeral Home)Mrs. Ethelene “Teenie” Hensley, 98, of Webb City, Missouri, departed this life on Monday, May 2, 2022, at The Arbors at Silver Creek in Joplin, Missouri.
Teenie entered this life on October 21, 1923, in Cullman, Alabama, daughter of the late Charles Floyd and Audie Mae Lindsey. She was raised in the south primarily in Alabama, Mississippi and Arkansas.
On July 15, 1945, she was united in marriage to Harold Hensley and to this union four children were born, Judy, Joe, Harold and Sally. She and Harold lovingly raised their family in Webb City, Missouri.
Teenie was a devoted homemaker throughout her life. She was a talented cook and was always lending a hand of support to those in need. She was a member of First Christian Church in Webb City.
She was preceded in death by her parents; her husband of sixty four years, Harold Hensley on November 27, 2009; a granddaughter, Kelly Goswick; and six siblings.
Teenie is survived by her four children, Judy Goswick and husband, Al, of Webb City, Joe Hensley of Joplin, Harold Hensley and wife, Mary, of Webb City and Sally Massey of Joplin; seven grandchildren; eleven great grandchildren; five great-great grandchildren; a brother, Ed Lindsey of Portland, Oregon; as well as a host of other family and friends.
Graveside services are 11:00 a.m. Friday, May 6, 2022 at Ozark Memorial Park Cemetery in Joplin with Pastor Lynn Ragsdale officiating. In Lieu of flowers memorials are being directed to Watered Gardens Ministry c/o the funeral home. Arrangements are under the direction of the Hedge-Lewis-Goodwin Funeral Home in Webb City, Missouri.
