Betty Jo Tudenham, age 86 of Joplin, passed away at 9:30 p.m. Sunday, August 30, 2015 at Mercy Hospital after an illness.
Betty was born October 17, 1928 in Diamond, Missouri to the late Roy Greenwood and Mildred Randall Greenwood and had lived in the Joplin area most of her life.
She was a babysitter for many years out of her home and was a longtime and active member at Park Plaza Christian Church.
Betty married John R. Tudenham on October 6, 1963. He survives at the home.
Additional survivors include two step daughters, Sherrie Waterman and her husband, Tim, Joplin, Darlene King and husband, Bill, Carl Junction; siblings, Van Greenwood and wife, Elfriede, Joplin, Peggy Greenwood-Cochran and husband, Ken, Salina, Kansas, Don Greenwood and wife, Glenda, Pleasanton, Nebraska, John Greenwood and wife, Bev, Joplin, Judy Muhr and husband, Larry, Sedalia, Missouri; four step grandchildren, Summer Cole, Corey Waterman, Sarah Fuller, Justin King and five step great grandchildren.
Services are planned for Thursday at 11:00 a.m. at Parker Mortuary Chapel. B.A. Austin, Minister, will officiate. Interment will follow in Ozark Memorial Park Cemetery. The family will receive friends Wednesday from 7-8:00 p.m. at Parker Mortuary Chapel.
Memorial contributions may be made to Park Plaza Christian Church or to Ozark Christian College, both in care of Parker Mortuary.
Arrangements are under the direction of Parker Mortuary.
