Glenna Sue Carr, age 75 of Joplin, Missouri passed away at her home Saturday February 24, 2018 following several months of declining health.
She was born May 3, 1942 in Wellington, Kansas to Glenn Stephen Douglas Conway and Faynetta Melissa (Meredith) Conway.
Glenna attended school in Wellington, Kansas. She later moved to Joplin, Missouri and worked in the food service department at MSSU, as well as working in the Spiva Arts Building and Hearnes Hall. She was an Avon representative for several years also. Glenna attended the Methodist Church in her early years and in the past few years she attended Prosperity Apostolic Faith Church. She loved working in her flower garden, playing Scrabble and the occasional trip to the casino. Her favorite was loving her grandchildren.
She married Lyn Carr on December 14, 1964 and he survives of the home. She is also survived by one son, Scott Carr and the late Ingrid, Joplin, Missouri; one daughter, Fay Ann Nelson and husband Robert, Joplin, Missouri; six grandchildren, Ashley, Brandon, Courtney, Bree, Daniel, and Emily Sue; six great grandchildren, Harlee Dawn, Addison Rose, Axel Scott, Jaelyn, Trenity, and Kylyn; one brother-in-law Thomas Fristch, Wellington, Kansas, as well numerous extended family and friends.
Glenna was preceded in death by her parents, two sisters, Patricia Ann Fritsch and Shelley Rose Conway.
Funeral services will be 2:00 pm Tuesday February 27, 2018 at Hedge-Lewis-Goodwin Funeral Home with Pastor Joel Dorris officiating. Burial will follow at Ozark Memorial Park Cemetery. The family will receive friends at 1:00 pm Tuesday prior to the service.
Memorial contributions in memory of Glenna may be made to Parkinson Research Foundation and may be sent in care of the funeral home.
