Gerald “Max” Beaumont, 71, passed away Friday, February 23, 2018 at Mercy Hospital in Joplin, Missouri. Max was born June 9, 1946 in Chula Vista, California to Glenn Beaumont, Sr. and Georgia “Teters” Beaumont Ruffin.
Max was employed by Schreiber Foods for 34 years and retired in 2008. He was an avid bowler and bowled four perfect 300 games, had an 800 series and was a lifetime member of the United States Bowling Congress. He also enjoyed the outdoors and fishing.
Max was united in marriage to Norena “Butler” on May 29, 1965; she preceded him in death on March 8, 1992. Max was then united in marriage to Vickie “Tanner” on June 12, 1993 in Carthage; she survives.
Max is also survived by his mother; one son, Rick Childs (Linda) of Kansas City, MO; nine daughters, Carolyn DeLong of Cedarview, MO, Belinda Williams (Jim) of Kansas City, MO, Cindy Naylor (Mark) of Lowry City, MO, Susie Royer (Jeff) of Carthage, MO, Kathy Beaven (Steve) of Kansas City, MO, Tammy Todd (Brandy) of Carthage, MO, Jennifer Blanken (Darrell) of Diamond, MO, Jackie Donovan (Jim) of Kansas City, MO, and Tammy Richardson (Burt) of Kansas City, MO; two brothers, Glenn Beaumont of Texas and David Beaumont of Ottawa, KS; one sister, Alice Mitchell (Doug) of Ocotillo, CA; 24 grandchildren, 33 great grandchildren, along with several nieces, nephews and cousins.
Max was preceded in death by his father, two grandsons, Bryon and Atticus, and one brother, Tom Beaumont.
Funeral services will be held at 10:00 a.m., Wednesday, February 28, 2018 at Ulmer Funeral Home. Visitation will be held from 6:00 p.m. to 7:00 p.m., Tuesday, February 27, 2018 at Ulmer Funeral Home.
