Peggy ‘Sue’ Carter, 81, Neosho, entered into rest on Feb. 18, 2018 in Dallas, Texas, following an extended illness.
Sue was born April 9, 1936 in Greenfield, Missouri, the daughter of Noel G. and Marie (Johnson) Hughes. She was a homemaker and had resided in Neosho most of her life, moving to Dallas in 2008 to be with her family. She enjoyed taking care of her plants and flowers and walking. She was a member of the Neosho United Methodist Church.
Sue and Roy Jean Carter were married on March 29, 1956 and he preceded her in death on July 5, 2004. She is survived by two sons, Jeffrey Carter and wife, Donna and Randy Carter, all of Dallas; one grandson, Jac and a brother, Dwain Hughes of S. Greenfield, Missouri. In addition to her husband and parents, she is preceded in death by a brother, Noel Johnson Hughes and sister, Patricia Jane Hughes.
Funeral services will be held on Tuesday, Feb. 27, 2018 at 10 am at the Neosho United Methodist Church, Pastor Mitch Jarvis officiating. Interment will follow in the Neosho IOOF Cemetery. The family will receive friends Monday evening from 5:30 to 7 pm at the Clark Funeral Home, Neosho.
