Margaret “Pee Wee” Meslin Haggard, age 83 of Webb City, Missouri passed away unexpectedly Sunday, February 25, 2018.
She was born August 11, 1934 in Webb City, Missouri to Harry “Bus” and Florence (Brown) Meslin.
Margaret was a lifelong Webb City resident and member of First Baptist Church, and Webb City High School Class of 1952. She enjoyed her family immensely, and found joy in reading, being outdoors, fishing and working puzzles. She loved her children and grandchildren and will be greatly missed.
She married Lloyd “Hag” Haggard on October 9, 1954 in Webb City, Missouri and he preceded her in death on August 19, 2013. She was also preceded in death by her parents, one son, Harry Dennis Haggard, and three sisters, Elaine Atkerson, Winona Hawkins and Diana Meslin.
Margaret is survived by two sons, Lloyd Haggard Jr. and wife Brenda, Tulsa, Oklahoma, David Haggard and Gail, Webb City, Missouri; one daughter Tammy Haggard, Webb City, Missouri; four grandchildren, Cody and fiancé Meghan, Logan, Jordan and Michelle; five great grandchildren, Jayden, Raiden, Tucker, Greckyn, and Cole; one brother, Jerry Meslin, Wellington, Kansas; two sisters, Judy Gibb, Friendswood, Texas, and Kathy.
Memorial services will be 2:00 pm Wednesday, February 28, 2018 at the Hedge-Lewis-Goodwin Funeral Home with Dr. Mel Whittington officiating. The family will receive friends following the service.
