Celia Good

Celia G. Good, 91, passed away on July 19, 2022, at Medicalodges in Columbus, KS.
Celia was born on August 15, 1930 in Nashville, MO, to Russell Letton and Grace (Taylor) Letton.

As a child she grew up in the Nashville Christian Church. She was involved in establishing Countryside Christian Church in Pittsburg and served on the missionary board for many years.








Celia graduated from Mindenmines High School in 1948 and went on to earn a 2 year degree from Kansas State Teachers College. She taught school for a few years. Celia started her career at Mt. Carmel Hospital working as a nurse’s aid where she later advanced to a Physical Therapy technician.

In 1951 she married Norman Harold Campbell, together they had three children. He preceded her in death in 1963. Celia later married Kenneth “Jim” Good who had four children. He preceded her in death in 1992.

Celia is survived by her children; Mary Torchia of Columbus, KS, John Campbell (Cheryl) of Salina, KS, Jane Rhinehart (Brad) of Columbus, KS, Michael Good (Ronda) of Altamont, KS, Cheryl Good of Stonewall, OK. She is also survived by her grandchildren; Shawn Smith (Karrah), Jeremy Smith (Megan), Amanda Simonds (Brice), Kayla Campbell, Kim Collins (Brent), Brea Vidrine (Jeremi), Shannon Neill (Shawn), Alan Good (Virginia), Heath Hilderbrand (Hilary), Rory Good (Lindsey) and eighteen great-grandchildren.








She was preceded in death by her parents, husbands; Norman Campbell and Kenneth Good, brother Harvey Letton, two sons; Billy Good and Bobby Good, son-in-law John Torchia, granddaughter Haley Hilderbrand, and great-granddaughter Emersyn Smith.

Visitation will be held from 6-8 pm on Friday, July 22, 2022, at the Bath-Naylor Funeral Home in Pittsburg, KS. Funeral Services will be at 10 am, Saturday, July 23, 2022 at Countryside Christian Church in Pittsburg, KS. Interment will follow at Crocker Cemetery.

In lieu of flowers, memorial gifts may be given to Watered Gardens in Joplin, MO or Countryside Christian Church in Pittsburg, KS.
