Kathy Martin

(From Gallup Funeral Services)

Kathleen J. Martin, 76, is now singing with the angels. She departed this life July 11, 2022 in Nags Head, NC. Kathy was born September 10, 1945 in Oil City, PA however she was raised around the world in a US Air Force family.

Kathy spent 25 years here in the Outer Banks devoting most of her time to caring for the sick and elderly as a trained CNA.

Outside of work, Kathy loved motorcycle riding. She was active with the Southern Riders Motorcycle Club along with her husband “Strings.” All that knew Kathy loved her and she loved all she knew. Kathy was a strong, generous woman who will be missed deeply. Please remember Kathy and consider these words written by her “baby girl,” Angel Sorrell:

You made it home this morning,
God finally called your name.
Throughout your life, we loved you dearly,
During your death we’ll do the same.

It broke so many hearts losing you;
so you didn’t go alone ‘cause parts of our hearts
left with you the day God called you home.
We take with us so many memories
to use as our guide;

Just because we no longer see you doesn’t
mean you’re not by our side.
Our family link has broken – nothing will ever be the same
until God calls us one by one and links our chain again,
MY FOREVER ANGEL!!
I love u mommy!!
